About This Course
Course Description:
This course will educate you in the control of
Electrostatic Discharge in relationship to electronic
components and assemblies.
Course Completion:
To receive credit you are required to complete
the entire course. Follow the instructions at the
end of the course to receive credit; completions
will be reflected in EPDW within two business
days.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course you will be able to:
- State what ESD is and where it comes from
- Describe the damage ESD can do
- Describe and equipment and practices used to avoid
ESD damage
Target audience:
This training is for:
- Anyone who is working in an ESD controlled environment
- Anyone who handles ESD sensitive devices

Prerequisites:
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Time Required:
This course will take approximately one and a half hours.
Special Information:
Partial lessons of this course can not be saved. Make sure
to allow at least one and a half hours to work through the entire course.
Minimum Requirements:
This course is designed for a monitor display resolution of at least 1024 x 768
and to
run on either Internet Explorer 6.0 or Mozilla 1.71 browser.
Special Requirements:
This course utilizes the standard Flash 8.0 player, which is included in the
standard Windows 2000 configuration. The monitor display resolution should be 1024 x 768.
